Research Synthesis

Research synthesis underpins much of the research in the Centre for Health Sciences. Staff in the Centre have experience of leading systematic reviews for the Cochrane collaboration, and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR)'s Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and Service Delivery and Organisation (SDO) programmes. In addition to numerous reviews of effectiveness we have experience of synthesising gene studies, qualitative studies, adverse events studies, withdrawal of treatment studies and instrument validity studies and we have a strong interest in novel syntheses and the methodological issues around research synthesis.
