The Centre for Medical Education

Welcome to the Centre for Medical Education, Institute of Health Sciences Education. We are the academic centre within Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry for undergraduate teaching. We take a large proportion of responsibility for developing, planning and co-ordinating the implementation of an MBBS curriculum, collaborating with academic and NHS colleagues. We take part in education research and faculty development at all levels.

There are six Units within the Centre: Quality and Education Development,  Clinical, Communication and Learning Skills Unit,  E-Learning Unit, Turnbull Centre, Performing Medicine - Arts in Medical Training.

The Centre is led by Dr Jon Fuller, and aims to create an exciting environment for the delivery of high quality teaching and learning. The Centre has important links with the other Institutes in the School of Medicine and Dentistry, coordinating their large contribution to the delivery of teaching, but also with City University via the Strategic Alliance.
